How To Burn Fat
We recently came across this method of losing weight. Many of you maybe already know about this, but for those of you who don't, you might give it a try. This is a proven method and many people use it to stay in shape.
In order for you to understand why this method works better than others, we will explain how the body metabolism works. We all have two main sources of energy in our body and one delivers fast energy, while the other one is slower. When you're in a stressful situation your body releases sugar in the blood very fast and all the organs rapidly metabolize it to get energy. Fat, on the other hand, is stored and when your sugar level is low, your body will transform this fat to sugar in order to get fuel.
Many people are not aware of the fact that when they do intense exercise (e.g. running) they are using their sugar stores from the liver to keep up with their energy demands. Since sugar delivers quick energy, all the organs prefer to use it. Because it takes longer to use the stored fat, since it first has to be converted to sugar, you burn minimal amounts with powerful physical activity. Usually, after a session of intense exercise of about 2 hours you feel exhausted and this is because it takes about 2 hours to deplete your glucose stores. This means, that if you want to lose fat, you need to work out more than 2 hours. But this is practically impossible, because you're out of sugar and by the time the fat is transformed to sugar you're almost passed out.
Therefore, the best way to burn fat is to allow your body to convert it to sugar. Because muscle is one of the few tissues that can locally convert the fat to sugar, if you exercise slowly your muscles will have enough time to metabolize the fat in order to get its energy. You should also know that the body tries to protect its levels of sugar because some organs such as the brain can only use glucose.
One of the best methods of losing fat is to power-walk (walk fast) for at least 30 minutes per session. Also, because you don't deplete your sugar levels you do not feel as tired as if you would jog. Another advantage is that with less effort you can burn more fat. Don't forget that you need to have at least 3 sessions per week in order to actually see some results.
